The elements of design consist of colour, texture, form, shape, and line. They are the steps used to create a successful piece.
Colour affects any design in the way it draws the eye and puts focus onto certain parts.
Texture is the effect of creating a design that the viewer can touch or feel. This example of texture shows a soft fabric, and the viewer already knows that because of the texture in the image.
Form is the 3-D effect given from a design. In this image the viewer is given the sensation of a real object, that could be pulled from the screen and you could feel the edges and curves of it.
Shape is the 2D version of form. We can see basic shapes in this image like triangles and circles, shape is what connected lines create. Certain shapes have different effects of the viewer.
Line is the skinny stroke used to create shapes and forms. It is the edges and outer border to every shape.
